No Charge Debris Removal

Date: April 9th, 2015
Time: 7:00 am

This year’s FREE debris removal for Kure Beach homeowners/residents is scheduled for Thursday, April 9th. This is a one-day only special service. Please have your debris in the right of way in front of your home prior to 7:00 am on Thursday morning. Items put out before April 3rd will be charged. The Town will not accept the following items:

Paints & pesticides Shingles
Gas cylinders Batteries
Tires Oil drums
Used or mixed oil Bio-medical waste
Construction debris Wooden pallets
Electronics (televisions, computers, printers, etc.) wil also NOT be picked up. (See Environmental Management Dept. at www.nhcgov.com for more information on these items.)

Vegetation must be of the non-commercial yard debris type, not vegetation from lot clearing. Brush will need to be separated from all other types of debris and should not be bagged.

    The HOA Board of Directors is currently getting estimates for repairs to the pond gazebo. Until these repairs have been completed, there will be a “Do Not Enter” sign posted. Please observe for your safety!

    Keys HOA Bereavement News, March 12, 2015

    We are sorry to report that Bert Ellison passed away yesterday morning due to massive heart attack. Bert and Marva were long-time residents of the Keys. They lived on 609 Sloop Pointe Lane.

    We do not yet have information on arrangements. Their home address is 280 Pinyon Circle, Pinehurst, NC 28374.

    Our hearts go out to Marva and family.

    How To Turn Off Water To Your Home

    There are two ways to turn off the water to you home,

    • In the very front of the foundation of your home, just below the front water spigot, there is a metal covering in the ground, remove the covering, locate (you may have to dig to find it) the water turn off valve, rotate the handle to the right (water off).In many cases it may be very hard to turn the handle because most have never been turned off.
    • Also, in the front of your home, roughly mid-way between the street and the home and between the drive ways is another metal covering (generally two, one for each home) in the ground that leads to the water meter main turn off valve. You should choose the covering that points to your home. You will need a pair of “channel locks” to close this valve.
